One number, four suits
The Twos in tarot
Duality. Two of anything is a relationship, a choice, or a balance being held.
Where the Ace is one thing offered, the Two is what happens once there are two: partnership, decision, tension, or an equilibrium that takes effort to maintain.
The four Twos split cleanly into those readings. Two of Cups is a bond formed. Two of Swords is a decision refused, blindfolded, with the sword points down. Two of Wands is standing between a world you own and a world you have not gone to. Two of Pentacles is juggling, which is balance that only works while you keep moving.
The common thread is that a Two cannot resolve itself. Something outside the pair has to move.
