Temperance and Nine of Wands

Temperance with the middle Sagittarius decan. The Nine of Wands is bandaged and watching, with eight staves already planted behind. The tradition reads the pair as somebody worn down being asked to keep their proportion, and it is sympathetic about how difficult that is.

Associated with staying reasonable in a relationship after being hurt in one. Read as an effort rather than a disposition.

Fairness maintained by somebody with every reason to have become cynical. Frequently read as a compliment.

The Nine of Wands has learned something real and is applying it too widely. Temperance is the correction, and the correction is a dilution rather than a denial.
