Two of Swords and Three of Swords

The stalemate ending badly. The Two holds the balance by not looking; the Three is the heart pierced by three blades under rain, which is the deck at its most unambiguous. The tradition reads this run as what tends to happen when a decision is left to be made by events.

Associated with a hurt that arrived because something was not said. Read as painful and as having been avoidable earlier.

A deferred call resolved painfully by somebody else. Frequently read after redundancies and restructures.

The Three of Swords is over-read as betrayal. In this run it is more often simply the truth landing after being kept out, which is a different and more ordinary grief.
