The strongest statement of not-knowing in the deck. The High Priestess holds what is not disclosed; the Two of Swords sits blindfolded refusing to choose. The tradition reads the pair as a decision deferred because the deciding information is being kept out of view, sometimes by the person deferring.

Associated with a stalemate maintained by something nobody will raise. Read as stuck rather than as doomed.

A choice that cannot be made because the relevant facts are not admitted into the room. Frequently read in organisations rather than for individuals.

These two cards are the same gesture at different depths. The pair is unusually direct that the way out is disclosure rather than analysis.
