The Fool and The High Priestess

Two kinds of not knowing, and they are opposites. The Fool has no knowledge and no sense that any is missing; The High Priestess has it and will not hand it over. The tradition reads the pair as a question about whether you are being kept from something or have simply not asked.

Associated with one person entirely open and the other deliberately reserved, and with the misreading that follows: openness taken for shallowness, or reserve taken for coldness.

Read for entering a field with no preparation where the real knowledge is held quietly by somebody who has not been asked. The pair favours asking over guessing.

Find out whether the thing you do not know is secret or merely unlearned. Those need completely different responses and they feel identical from outside.
