The Fool and Temperance

The unmeasured beside the card that does nothing but measure. Temperance mixes carefully and adjusts by small amounts; The Fool has no proportions in mind at all. The tradition reads the pair as enthusiasm meeting the requirement to get the quantities right.

Associated with intensity meeting somebody who paces things, and with the frustration on both sides of that. The pair reads the pacing as care rather than reluctance.

Read for a project with more energy than calibration. The pair does not ask for less energy; it asks for a measure applied to it.

Enthusiasm is a quantity, not a plan. Temperance is not asking you to have less of it, only to weigh it against something.
