Temperance and The Tower

The slowest card in the deck drawn with the fastest, which the tradition treats as a straight opposition of pace. Temperance corrects a little at a time; the Tower corrects everything at once and without consultation. The pair is about a situation where the gradual approach ran out of time.

Associated with a slow problem being settled abruptly by an event. The pair notes the slow work was not wasted and was not enough.

Read for incremental improvement overtaken by a sudden failure. The pair does not blame the increments.

Some things do not accept gradual. Working out which ones early is the only defence this pair offers.
