Justice and Three of Swords

Justice with the middle Libra decan. The Three of Swords is the pierced heart under rain, which is the deck at its plainest. The tradition reads the pair as a true thing that hurts, delivered or discovered, and it declines to treat the pain as evidence that the truth was wrong.

Associated with an honest account of something that causes real grief. Read as necessary rather than as cruel.

A fair judgement that goes against somebody. Frequently read where the fairness is not in dispute and the hurt is real anyway.

Justice does not soften findings and the Three does not exaggerate them. This pair asks that the accuracy and the pain be held as separate facts.
