Moving is one of the more common concrete questions people bring to tarot, and it is a good one for the deck, because a move is mostly a question about what you want your life to be like.

How to read it: the "what you carry with you" position is the one that earns the spread. Every move is partly an attempt to leave something behind, and the card here names the part that is coming along regardless of postcode.

On the practical question. Tarot cannot tell you whether the survey will be clean, whether the chain will hold or whether you can afford it. It is genuinely good at telling you why you want to go, which is worth knowing before you commit to a mortgage.

If the reading is discouraging, read it as describing the reasons rather than forbidding the move. A move made for a clear-eyed reason survives a difficult one better than a move made as an escape.
