Wheel of Fortune and Ten of Wands

Change and a full load. The Wheel is the card of what turns without consulting you; the Ten of Wands is bent double carrying all ten staves with the town in sight. The tradition reads the pair as a burden that is about to change hands or shape, and it does not say in which direction.

Associated with a period of heavy responsibility approaching a turn. Read as a phase rather than a settlement.

Overload meeting circumstances outside your control. Frequently read shortly before something gives.

The Wheel moves whether or not the load is put down. The pair suggests choosing what to set down now beats having it taken later.
