Two of Wands and Two of Swords

A view and a refusal to look, held together. The Two of Wands surveys the whole world from a high vantage; the Two of Swords sits blindfolded with the choice deliberately unmade. The tradition reads the pair as somebody who can see perfectly well and has decided not to decide.

Associated with knowing what you want and not saying so. The pair describes a stalemate that one person is maintaining rather than one that circumstances imposed.

The plan exists and the decision has been deferred, often for reasons the person can articulate very convincingly. Read as postponement rather than as caution.

The blindfold in the Two of Swords is worn, not fitted. This pairing is unusually direct that the information needed is already available.
