Real means against imaginary options. The Magician has four suits on the table and can use all of them; the Seven of Cups is seven visions in the clouds, and the classical reading is that most of them are not there. Together the tradition reads capability paralysed by choice.

Associated with somebody keeping several possibilities open who is capable of committing to one. The pair reads the keeping-open as the problem, not the capability.

Talent with too many directions. Read for people who could do any of it and are therefore doing none of it properly.
