Raw fire and the ability to direct it. The Ace is desire before it has a target; The Magician is the full table of tools. Together the tradition reads them as inspiration arriving in the hands of somebody equipped to use it.

Attraction with intent. Distinguished from the Ace alone, which is associated with wanting rather than doing.

A strong pairing for launching something. Associated with people whose problem is choosing between ideas rather than having them.
