The Lovers and The Tower

One of the pairings people arrive at this site already frightened of, so it is worth being plain: the tradition does not read this as a relationship ending. The Lovers is a choice, and a choice with values underneath it. The Tower is a structure that could not hold. Together they are most often read as a decision that removed something, which is not the same as a loss.

Associated with the moment a relationship stops being able to hold two incompatible things at once. That can be a separation and it can equally be a marriage, a move, or telling the truth about something.
