The Chariot and The Hanged Man

Directed will against enforced stillness, and it is one of the deck's cleanest oppositions. The Chariot holds two sphinxes going different ways and moves anyway. The Hanged Man is inverted and going nowhere at all. The tradition reads the pair as effort meeting something effort does not move.

Associated with one person pushing and the situation not responding. The pair says nothing about the other person and does not need to.

Drive against a process: the application in a queue, the decision above your level, the deadline nobody else is treating as one.

The Chariot is the wrong card for this and the Hanged Man knows it. What the pairing traditionally asks for is the thing that is genuinely available while you wait, which is rarely nothing.
