The Chariot with the last Cancer decan. The Four of Cups sits with three cups untouched and a fourth held out unnoticed. The tradition reads the pair as drive continuing while feeling has gone flat, which is the most common way a protective temperament stops noticing its own state.

Associated with going through the motions of a relationship competently. Read as numbness rather than as indifference.

Performance maintained without engagement. Frequently read where nobody else has noticed.

The Chariot will keep going indefinitely, which is exactly the problem the Four of Cups is describing. Momentum is not evidence that anything is well.
