Six of Swords and Seven of Swords

A departure and something taken on the way out. The Seven is a figure walking off with five swords, glancing back, two still planted behind him. The tradition reads this run as a leaving that was not clean, and it is deliberately non-committal about whether that was justified.

Associated with an exit conducted quietly and incompletely. Read as unfinished rather than as dishonest.

Leaving with something: a client, a method, an advantage. Frequently read where the ethics are genuinely arguable.

Two swords are always left behind in the Seven. Whatever is being carried out of this situation, the pair says it is not the whole of it.
