Seven of Pentacles and Eight of Pentacles

Assessing, then getting back to work. The Eight is a craftsman at a bench, hammering out coins one after another, each hung up finished. The tradition reads this run as the right answer to the Seven: the review concluded, and the response was more application rather than a change of direction.

A practical reading. Associated with deciding something is worth the effort and then actually putting the effort in.

The strongest work sequence in the deck. Read as deliberate practice, and as the unglamorous thing that produces mastery.

The Eight of Pentacles is repetition on purpose. Coming out of the Seven, the pair reads persistence as a decision rather than as a failure to reconsider.
