Associated with settled, unanxious relationships, and with people who are content whether or not they are in one.

Sufficiency. Read as the point where more would not improve anything, which the deck treats as an achievement rather than a lack of ambition.

The Nine of Cups is traditionally the wish card and traditionally comes with the note that a wish granted is not the same as a wish worth having. Both figures here are sitting alone.
