Eight of Pentacles and Nine of Pentacles

The work, and what it bought. The Nine is a figure alone in a walled garden with a hooded falcon, entirely self-sufficient. The tradition reads this run as diligence producing genuine independence, and never reads the solitude in the Nine as loneliness.

The falcon is hooded because it is trained. The pair reads the comfort in the Nine as controlled rather than inherited, which is the whole distinction it is making.
