What do you do with a reading you ignored and should not have?

Jun Watanabe ·

Went back through six years of notebooks last night. There is a spread from 2021 that told me exactly what I did eighteen months later, and I remember dismissing it at the time. Not looking for sympathy, genuinely asking what people do with that, because "trust the cards more" is obviously the wrong lesson.

The right lesson is usually that you knew, not that the cards knew. You wrote it down because some part of you had already worked it out, and the notebook is the evidence.

I keep a page at the back for exactly these. Not to feel bad about, to notice what kind of thing I talk myself out of, which turns out to be the same kind of thing every time.
