Are reversals worth learning at the start, or later?

Tobias Frank ·

Half of what I read says learn upright first and add reversals when the seventy eight are solid. The other half says if you learn without them you will never add them. I would rather not learn this twice.

From the start, and I will die on this hill. A reversal is not a second meaning to memorise, it is the same card with the volume or the direction changed. Learn it late and you learn it as a bolt-on.

Opposite advice: seventy eight is already a lot and doubling it in month one is how people give up. Nothing stops you adding them at month six.

Both of these are right and the difference is whether you are learning by reading or learning by drawing. Drawing daily, take them from the start. Studying card by card, do not.

Drawing daily. Reversals from the start it is. Thank you.
